Community Instructor is the qualification needed to deliver the Save a Life Series, RLSS UK’s Community Outreach Programme:


 Who can deliver the Community Instructor Qualification?

  • Lifesaving Academy Tutors (and higher)
  • Trainer Assessors (and higher)

What are the course prerequisites?

  • By aged 16 years or older
  • Hold a current Life Support 3 Award (can be taken during this module). Candidates who hold medical qualifications will often have learned discipline-specific CPR techniques, through completing the Life Support 3 Award all Community Instructors will be familiar with the RLSS UK-approved techniques
  • Hold RLSS UK Membership. It is the Instructors responsibility to maintain this membership

How many candidates can you have on a course?

1 Lifesaving Academy Tutor or Trainer Assessor to 12 candidates (up to 24 candidates with 2 or more Lifesaving Academy Tutors and/or Trainer Assessors)


How long does it take to run this course?

Course duration is for guidance only and should reflect the needs of the candidates: 6 hours
